This Guy Tried Mark Wahlberg's Ridiculous Workout and Diet Plan for a Day

Mark Wahlberg’s daily schedule is infamous for being absolutely outrageous and incredibly impractical. Just one look at the actor’s meal and workout-heavy daily regmin is enough to make anyone swear off Wahlberg’s lifestyle. But YouTuber Will Tennyson gave the intense daily regimen a go—and it looks completely miserable.

Tennyson isn’t a stranger to trying out actor’s intense regimins. He previously tired Jason Momoa’s Aquaman diet and workout plan. At least that plan included copious amounts of Guinness.

Tennyson says he was inspired to follow Wahlberg’s daily schedule after watching James Cordon give Wahlberg’s 4 a.m. workout a try on The Late Late Show. Wahlberg’s “average daily schedule” went viral on Instagram in Sept. 2018 after the actor posted the regimn to his story. Wahlberg wakes up at 2:30 a.m. every morning and goes to bed at 7:30 p.m. With two workouts daily, three hours of work, eight meat-heavy meals, and lots of family time, Wahlberg’s schedule is a gym buff’s dream—minus the whole 2:30 a.m. wakeup time.

In Tennyson’s trial, he struggles to get up for the 2:30 a.m. wakeup call, even with going to bed at 7:30 p.m. the night before. The YouTuber follows Wahlberg’s high protein diet for the full day, having a breakfast of eggs and oatmeal. He then drives to his workout at 3:40 a.m.

“I feel like I’m in Walking Dead season one where the zombie apocolypse probably just happened, so everyone’s either fled or have already turned into zombies,” Tennyson says in the empty parking lot before his workout. “I’m like one of those people who still have no idea what’s going on, so I’m just going about my everyday life.”

At 5:30 a.m., Tennyson is eating turkey burgers and sweet potatoes at a time most people are still dreaming. After a relaxing game of golf, it’s time to eat a snack—of ten entire meatballs. Then, it’s time for “cryo chamber recovery,” which Tennyson skips due to cost. Instead, he opts for the next “best thing,” which is an ice bath. Then, it’s chicken salad time at 10:30 a.m.

After some family time, it’s time for yet another meat-heavy meal of steak and green peppers. By this time, the eight-meal days have taken a toll on Tennyson.

“I’ve been like living in my kitchen today,” he says in the video. “It’s insane.”

Then it’s time for three hours of work, picking up the kids (aka Tennyson’s dog) from school, and yet another workout. After another protien-rich meal and a shower, the day is over—at 7:30 p.m. while the sun is out and the birds are still chirping.

So the verdict on Wahlberg’s daily schedule? “I’m never doing this again…” Tennyson says. “This day has felt like three days in one.”
