The boyfriend of a woman who was struck down with a rare disorder has shared an emotional video of her recovery process.
33-year-old Crystal Brown suddenly lost the ability to walk and talk after developing Guillain-Barré syndrome, a life-threatening illness that makes the body’s immune system attack the peripheral nervous system.
Her boyfriend Joseph Papa rushed her to hospital three times before finally her condition was diagnosed as something more serious than the flu. She then began a slow recovery process over 10 months to regain movement in her arms and legs.
