Let’s be real, at the age of 38, Kourtney Kardashian has never looked better. So, when the mum-of-three recently took to her app to spill her day on a plate, we couldn’t help but take notes.
Basically, as PEOPLE report her eating plan consists of three meals a day that are low-carb and high in protein and fatty acids. And while it might sound pretty straight-forward, it’s strict to say the least with the reality star cutting out grains, beans, legumes, dairy AND gluten. Yup.
To start, Kourt likes to welcome the day with a creamy avocado smoothie consisting of one avocado, a tablespoon of cane sugar, half a cup of nut milk and a tablespoon of manuka honey. And for lunch/dinner? Fish or chicken with a side of broccoli and cauliflower.
She also prefers to wait 14-16 hours after her final meal of the day before having brekkie and says she completely avoids snacking (except for the occasional almond.)
But as if that wasn’t extreme enough, one day a week she fasts, consuming only bone broth and water.
“I’m not going to sugarcoat it, this detox is difficult,” she says, explaining that she only intends to follow the restrictive regime for three months max.
“I also know that I need to enjoy my life, so I break the rules when I go on vacation or if there’s a special occasion.”
However, there is method to her madness.
Kourtney started doing the detox “on and off” a few months back after it was found she had high levels of mercury and lead in her system.
