LeBron James Is Still Training Like the NBA Season Could Restart Tomorrow

As the NBA approaches week eight of being suspended due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, LeBron James has made no secret about the fact that he’s strongly against the idea of canceling the 2019-2020 season. “As soon as it’s safe, we would like to finish our season. I’m ready and our team is ready. Nobody should be canceling anything,” the four-time NBA MVP said a tweet sent on April 30.

Over on his Instagram feed, meanwhile, James is also making it clear to fans that he’s still working hard in self-isolation to keep himself in peak physical condition should the season resume anytime soon. In his latest post, the three-time NBA champion broke down yet another of his grueling at-home workout routines, all while going shirtless and showing off his ripped six-pack abs.

The video montage includes hanging knee raises, followed by a treadmill run, a sled push, dumbbell deadlifts, Romanian deadlifts, and slider hamstring curls. “Staying POISED, PRIMED, and PREPPED for whenever it’s time to punch again,” James wrote in a caption to the post.

James hasn’t been shy lately about sharing insight into his at-home workouts—whether it’s a cable-centric core-crushing routine, or thrashing the hell out of some battle ropes. Of course, not everyone has the equipment—or the space—that LeBron enjoys at home. So if you’re trying to stay as fit as King James while self-isolating, try one of these plans we created to help you keep off the Quarantine 15.
