Surely it’s the 21-year-olds running along Bondi Beach who feel the most awesome in their bikinis, right? Well, not according to a new survey from fashion retailer M&Co which found the most confident ladies in their swimwear are 65-74 year olds!
Part of the reason? The survey found that the older you get – the less you care. 51% of 65-74 year olds said they had more important things to worry about than their dream bikini body.
Younger women also aren’t so keen on baring all in a teeny bikini. 42% of 18-34 year olds say they buy swimwear to hide their ‘problem areas’ and 72% of them wouldn’t take a selfie in a cossie, either. Decoded: there are less aspiring Natasha Oakley’s than we imagined…
Plus – it seems more is more – only 22% of 24-34 year olds would wear a bikini – with the others opting for either a full-piece or tankini. Cute one-pieces, come at us.
