Salma Hayek posted a photo on Instagram on Friday, August 11, that left her followers in awe.
The 50-year-old shared a shot in her bikini in a stunning outdoor shower filled with luscious greenery. She looked healthy and strong, with her back and shoulder muscles on display.
Her fit body may have detracted from the point of Salma’s post, which was actually to honour water. She captioned it, “#water the most beautiful delicious and precious necessity of humans.”
It appears Salma was vacationing in Costa Rica, as two days earlier she posted a video with the caption “Pura Vida,” the saying that conveys the way of life for people in the Central American country. In the video, the mum of one swings between two wooden platforms in the middle of the rainforest, once in a back bridge, and the second upside down — both times showing off her strength.
The Hitman’s Bodyguard star has said before that she doesn’t exercise, which resulted in some skepticism about how she gets such a toned body without going to the gym.
“I just hold my body in a way that activates muscles all day long,” she has explained. “I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way where the muscles are activated all day long. So even when you brush your teeth, you’re working the muscles. She taught me to tone them without clenching them. You relax them and focus on the parts that need to be used, but never with tension.”
While experts have questioned her claims, whatever she’s doing seems to be working great for her.
