Watch These Bodybuilders Recreate Ben Affleck’s Training Montage From Batman v Superman<\/em>

Following on from a recent video in which they reenacted the iconic Siberian training sequence from the boxing movie Rocky IV, Brandon and Hudson White, aka YouTube’s Buff Dudes, have turned their attention to the superhero genre. Their latest challenge? Recreating the intense workout sequence performed by Ben Affleck in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The first round of the workout involves taking a 20-pound sledgehammer to a tractor tire as many times as possible to failure. “There’s a lot of cardiovascular strength in that one,” says Hudson. “My muscles aren’t really fatiguing, but man, I was running out of breath bigtime.”

This is followed by pullups, first performed just with their bodyweight, before progressing to weighted versions at 75 pounds. But when it comes to completing a rep with 150 pounds strapped around their waists, only Brandon is able to come near to pulling it off. “150 pounds is no joke,” he says.

Next up are a couple of weighted exercises which torch the whole body while also burning fat; the sled push, which is loaded up with 365 pounds (not counting the chains), and the tire pull. “It’s very basic, but it makes you feel damn good,” says Hudson.

Then it’s on to the dumbbell bench press, performed at 100 pounds to failure. Hudson maxes out at 35, while Brandon churns out 40 reps.

“This is a pretty excellent program, I really like the way it’s designed,” says Hudson, before admitting that both he and Brandon are too beat to even attempt the final exercise; a heroic 765-pound squat.
