Chris Hemsworth has made his career out of looking (and training) like a superhero. The Thor actor is notorious for his grueling workouts and ridiculously chiseled physique. And even during the coronavirus quarantine, he’s getting it done at home.
Hemsworth posted an at-home workout video to his Instagram with his trainer, Luke Zocchi. The pair frequently collaborate to share fitness content to the actor’s fanbase (check out their Devil’s Workout for a brutal little circuit), and Zocchi is a featured expert on Hemsworth’s Centr wellness and fitness app.
“Haven’t seen any home workouts out lately, so wanted to be the first to get one out there,” Hemsworth captioned the video cheekily. Here’s one from @centrfit and is part of our Centr 6 program. Hope you enjoy it.”
The actor also noted that he’s extended a special promo for six free weeks of his program due to the coronavirus pandemic. Move quickly if you want to take him up on the offer—you only have through March 31.
Hemsworth walks through the equipment you’ll need for the workout: a set of dumbbells and a stool. That’s it. But if you don’t have the dumbbells, he says a couple jugs of laundry detergent, or even your laundry basket itself, will do.
The workout is all about the number six. The routine consists of six rounds of five exercises (six, if you count Hemsworth’s bonus Spider-Man pushups), which you’ll do for six reps each.
“Push to the sky!” says Hemsworth as he knocks out his burpee to presses using the laundry detergent as weights.
After that, they move to triceps extensions. Zocchi uses the stool for triceps dips, while Hemsworth uses the barbells for triceps kickbacks.
Once the triceps work is done, they move to squats. Hemsworth loads up the basket of laundry with both detergent jugs, while Zocchi opts for jumping squats.
Next, they’re onto mountain climbers. Hemsworth opts for Spider-Man climbers, and Zocchi hits cross-body climbers.
“Variation, heyo!” says Hemsworth, who shows off once his climbers are done with some Spider-Man push ups.
“Don’t show me up on camera,” says Zocchi.
“A little bit of bonus,” says Hemsworth.
They wrap with sit-thrus, a favorite exercise of another of Hemsworth’s Centr trainers, Da Rulk. Give the series a try if you’re hoping to get some extra superhero training done this week.
