Blake Lively Jokes About Having A Cold Girl Summer Wearing A Sports Bra And Biker Shorts On Instagram

It’s still hot girl summer everywhere, but Blake Lively shared that she’s not exactly feeling the heat. Instead, she’s working her way through “cold girl summer.”

The mom of three dropped the joke on her Instagram Story, alongside a gym selfie that showed her with an obvious headlight situation wearing a sports bra, biker shorts, and New Balance sneaks. Blake drove her point home by playing “We’re Twins” by the band Two of a Kind.

It’s not just the indoor temps Blake’s modeling. The actress, who welcomed her third child in October 2019, has toned legs for days and tight abs, something she’s recently talked about wanting. In January, Blake shared on Instagram that she was looking for a photo of herself with her The Rhythm Section co-star Sterling K. Brown and came across a pic of her toned abs. “My abs look so good here,” she wrote next to a pic from the movie. “Dear abs, I miss us.” It certainly seems like Blake found them in this pic.

Blake has been open about hitting the gym hard over the past few years, with the help of her trainer, Don Saladino. She shared a pic of herself next to Saladino on Instagram in 2018, along with the message that she’s “very proud” she lost the weight after having her second child. “Turns out you can’t lose the 61 lbs you gained during pregnancy by just scrolling through Instagram and wondering why you don’t look like all the bikini models,” she joked in the caption. “Thanks @donsaladino for kickin my A double S into shape. 10 months to gain, 14 months to lose. Feeling very proud 💪😁💪.”

Blake shared in her Instagram Stories in January 2020 that she struggled to find clothes to fit her for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon after having her third daughter, Betty. “It doesn’t send a great message to women when their bodies don’t fit into what brands have to offer,” she wrote. “It’s alienating and confusing. And I wish I felt as confident then as I do now, a year later looking back. That body gave me a baby. And was producing that baby’s entire food supply. What a beautiful miracle. But instead of feeling proud, I felt insecure. Simply because I didn’t fit into clothes. How silly is that in retrospect.”

OK, but what does Blake do to look that fit, exactly? FWIW: She’s not a gym fan. “I hate the gym,” she previously told Extra. “So I find other ways to be active. I dance, I ride bicycles, I hike. I go out and exercise in nature. I find ways to be physical where you’re also having an experience because I’m very experience-oriented.”

Of course, Blake also finds her way into the gym, too. Saladino told Well + Good that the actress usually works out five or six days a week, with at least one day of complete rest. Blake also is good at listening to her body, he said.

“If a leg day was set up for a Monday for Blake, but she was flying home the night before and stayed up all night with the baby and was exhausted, I’m not gonna make her do the full workout,” Saladino said. Blake tends to reach for moves like jump squats, medicine ball throws, kettlebell deadlifts, 30-minute water workouts in the pool, push-ups, and planks.
