Eddie Hall is all about rising to the challenge, whether that be while competing to win the title of World’s Strongest Man, or pushing himself to break the incline dumbbell press world record during a training session.
So it makes sense that he wants to go bigger, higher and faster than ever before even when it comes to how he spends his leisure time. In a video posted to his YouTube channel last year, Hall paid a visit to WaterWorld aqua park in his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent. WaterWorld is the largest park of its kind in the United Kingdom, and as of August 2019, it is also home to the biggest, highest water slide in the country.
Hall was one of the first guests to christen the slide when it opened. Guests zoom through it at speeds of 25 miles per hour, although in the case of a big guy like Hall, that speed will probably be considerably higher, around 35 miles per hour.
The ride has an official maximum weight limit of 120 kgs. Hall’s weight is more than 160 kgs, but Waterworld chairman Mo Chaudry assures him that he is just within the limits. And so off he goes.
“I’m not kidding you, I’ve got water lodged in my brain,” Hall says upon completing the ride, before adding, in typical Hall fashion: “I’ve got about a gallon of water up my ass as well.”
“Jesus Christ,” he continues. “Honestly, guys, that is the most exhilarating water ride I’ve ever been on in my entire life. I used to come to WaterWorld when I was a kid, literally when I was seven years old, I’ve got some great memories here.”
