On Tuesday, singer Lizzo, 32, shared the most epic clapback to body and fat shamers in a new TikTok workout video. And while it’s not the first time she’s addressed haters (back in January 2020, trainer Jillian Michaels came under fire for comments about Lizzo’s weight), she has a clear message for them all.
“if you’re not a fat shamer… keep scrolling… ok now that all the fat shamers are here 🧚🏾♀️✨,” the “Truth Hurts” singer captioned her post.

In the video, viewers see a montage of clips of Lizzo working out, from jumping rope to cycling to lifting weights. And she narrates the video with some powerful words.
“Hey. So I’ve been working out consistently for the last 5 years, and it may come as a surprise for some of y’all, but I’m not working out to have your ideal body type. I’m working out to have my ideal body type,” she says in a voiceover. “And you know what type that is? None of your f*cking business. Because I am beautiful, I am strong, I do my job, and I stay on my job.”
Lizzo continues by talking about the judgement that is often associated with food choices, and how health isn’t just determined by looks.
“So next time you want to come to somebody and judge them, whether they drink kale smoothies or eat McDonald’s or work out or not work out, how about you look at your own f*cking self and worry about your own g*ddamn body, because health is not just determined on what you look like on the outside,” she notes. “Health is also what happens on the inside, and a lot of y’all need to do a f*cking cleanse for your insides.”
Lizzo finished her video by telling her viewers, “Namaste, have a great day,” as she signed off.
PREACH, Lizzo!
