March Babies Have A Higher Chance Of Becoming CEOs Than Any Other Month

It also, as it turns out, is a pretty great time to celebrate your birthday and to become a mother. Statistics from the ABS indicated that March was one of the most popular months for birth between 2007 and 2016 and according to science, (yes, there is proof), there are quite a few unique benefits to being born in the first month of autumn.

Not only are March babies natural-born optimists, but they also have a higher chance of becoming CEOs and are great sleepers! Below, we run you through exactly what science tells us about babies born in March.

1. Glass half-full kind of energy

If you’ve noticed that your March-born friends maintain an unnatural level of optimism in their daily lives, you probably won’t be surprised to learn that there’s actually some solid science behind their positivity. According to a 2014 study, people born in March (and their April and May counterparts) are actually naturally born optimists. Their high ratings on the hyperthymic scale as adults is indicative of their positive outlook on life.

2. They have better eyesight than their summer and spring counterparts

Based on a study of nearly 3000,000 military applicants, children born in autumn or winter will have better long-range eyesight throughout their life and less chance of requiring thick corrective glasses. Unlike their summer counterparts, March babies have less long-term exposure to natural light in their early life, which can increase the chances of a child becoming short-sighted.

3. March babies have a higher chance of becoming CEOs

Like the idea of a corner office? The good news is that as a March baby, you have a higher chance of climbing the corporate ladder to CEO than any other month. A study by the American Medical Informatics Association discovered that from the 375 CEOs they surveyed, 12.5% of those holding the position were born in March. The link is thought to be related to school enrolment cut-offs, which see March babies on the older end of their class spectrum.

4. They’ll probably be an early bird

If you’re a mum-to-be who enjoys her sleep, the positive news is that your March baby will also enjoy the simplicity of an early night. According to this study, children born in the spring and summer generally prefer to go to bed later than those born in autumn and winter. Although this is mostly good news, there is one issue. Those who are early sleepers tend to be early risers, too.

5. They’re full of determination and passion – thanks to their star sign

Whether you’re a Pisces born in the first part of the month (March 1 – March 20), or your birthday falls into the fire sign of Aries (March 21 – April 19), there’s no doubt that your determination and passion precedes you. Strong-willed, fiery and full of determination, it’s no easy feat winning an argument against a March baby.
