Just when you thought you couldn’t love Serena Williams any more, she goes and wears a pair of sneakers to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding reception.
The tennis star revealed her sensible sartorial decision in an Instagram video, after she swapped the blush Versace ensemble and stilettos that she wore to the ceremony, for a stunning a Valentino gown with black and white kicks for the exclusive after party.
“Little known fact: I often wear sneakers under my evening gown,” she wrote. “These @maisonvalentino @pppiccioli gave to me last min. I told him be careful I tend to be comfy for long nights #beingserena.”
The mum-of-one also channelled her inner athlete at her own nuptials, rocking a pair of bedazzled Nikes on the big day.
