On March 15, Thelma Chiaka from Houston, Texas gave birth to six babies (a.k.a sextuplets) in—drum roll, please—nine minutes. I repeat: six babies in just. nine. minutes.
Between 4:50 and 4:59 a.m., Chiaka delivered two sets of twin boys and one set of twin girls named Zina and Zuriel, per a statement released by the Women’s Hospital of Texas. All together, the little ones ranged in weight from one pound, 12 ounces to two pounds, 14 ounces—technically five to six pounds lighter than the average newborn, which is about seven pounds according to the University of Michigan Health Library.

Okay, deep breaths. Such low birth weights might sound scary, especially in comparison to last week’s delivery of a 15-pound baby girl, but they can be fairly common in the case of multiple births like this one, says the Cleveland Clinic.
While there’s been no confirmation that Chiaka gave birth pre-term or news as to what week in her pregnancy she delivered, as of Friday, The Woman’s Hospital of Texas only had good updates to report. At that time (and hopefully still today!), the little ones were all in stable condition and would continue receiving care in the advanced neonatal intensive care unit. As for the momma, she too was doing well—just look at that smiley grin above!—and, if you ask me, deserves tons of praise (*insert all of the praise-hands emojis*).
Oh! And get this: the odds of having sextuplets is estimated at one in 4.7 billion, per the hospital. Now compare that to the chances of getting struck by lightning at some point in your life, which is about 1 in 3,000, according to National Geographic.
